Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a part of the Trinity which includes the Father, God, and the son, Jesus Christ. Although the exact nature of the Trinity cannot be comprehended by the human mind, we can trust what Scripture tells us about each of the parts. The Holy Spirit has many roles, and was sent to us after Jesus ascended to heaven. The Holy Spirit fills us with power from on high, helping us to serve the Lord every single day. There are unique gifts associated with the Holy Spirit, all of which serve to bring glory to God’s name and bring people into personal relationship with Jesus.

Prayer
Take this prayer and make it your own.
“Lord, I want to know you! I want to know your heart and your ways! Fill me with the Holy Spirit! I want to know you in a deep and personal way. I want to be filled with the knowledge of your love and your presence with me. I want to know the things that you care about! Holy Spirit, show me any area of my life that gets in the way of my relationship with you. Please use me and work through me to help other people and change others' lives. Please give me the words to speak to them. Use me as an instrument to accomplish your will on earth. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and start changing my heart to become more and more like you. Let my life be characterized by the fruit of your Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Thank you, Lord, for who you are and for your goodness. Amen!”
