My Birthday: June 25th It’s the perfect birthday date… exactly six months from Christmas.

My Hometown: My first home was in Winlock, Washington. In grade school I lived in Poulsbo, Washington and Junction City, Oregon. I also lived in Alvadore, Oregon and Gig Harbor, Washington in Jr. and Sr. High.

My Family: I married my college sweet heart, Julie. We have two beautiful daughters, Emily and Lydia who are both married.

My Favorite Things: My favorite sport is kayaking with my friends on rivers and lakes. I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, gardening and collecting mounted bugs. I have a huge Tarantula spider, a 12” African Walking Stick and lots of other unusual bugs hanging in my office.

My Superpower: I can stick out my tongue and touch my ear.

My Pets: I have a raccoon that sneaks into my yard at night and eats our figs and plums. Western Scrub Jays join me for coffee every morning and take the peanuts I toss to them. They hide these little treats all over our neighborhood. (I’m looking forward to harvesting a healthy crop of peanuts next summer.) I also have some really cool humming birds that drop by for a sip of sweet nectar throughout the year.

What I love about Kid City: I love how Kid City ignites a child’s imagination. I love watching kids climb the fire pole and ladder at the Fire Station. It’s cool to watch people look for the birds singing from the roof tops as they take a stroll down the street. I love watching families learn together at our Family Productions every month. I love working with such creative team who have helped to build a fun environment where people love to hang out together.
